A preliminary competition to the "Super Bowl of Swine" the Hog Happenin' will host more than 60 award-winning barbecue cookers. These grillmasters and goodtimers will descend upon Tiffany West/ Neuseway Park in downtown Kinston on Friday afternoon to compete for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes. Sanctioned by the North Carolina Pork Council, the Hog Happenin' cookoff is one of the most prestigious barbecue competitions in the state. Make sure that you "come on down" on Friday night for serious competition and serious fun as the teams compete in showmanship!
